This is my sister, Alayna.  I was planning on having this shot be a self portrait, but after several, several failed attempted i called her.  i saw some lady stare like this today at work.  while she ate her quiznos sandwich she just stared at nothing.  i couldn't see any emotion in her face, none at all.  i hoped to try and recreate the image i saw at work with my sister.  i had her stare off into the umbrella and i told her to just stare and think about what ever. a good 10 minutes went by with me texting a friend when i looked up, focused and took the image.  she had no idea.

editing was minimal. conversion to black and white, a small lens blur and thats it.
